A group of volunteer female painters transformed one of the destroyed buildings in the Al-Mualla District in the capital, Aden, into a wonderful aesthetic painting that caught attention.
A volunteer team of a number of girls, “Al-Mualla Girls,” from the Al-Mualla District in the capital, Aden, sponsored by the local authority, completed the “Kan” project. There is life in our house", which is concerned with highlighting the buildings destroyed during the war period in the district.
The project aims, by painting murals on destroyed buildings, to depict people’s lives before the destruction and to call for the attention of donors concerned with reconstruction.
Many citizens praised the idea and goal of the project, and said that the owners of homes destroyed due to the terrorist Houthi militia war, Iran's arm in Yemen, in Aden 2015, caused a major crisis among many citizens who are currently living at the mercy of homes rented for amounts no longer in Yemeni riyals, but in hard currency, demanding the restoration of their buildings and homes so that they can return and keep up with the collapse of living conditions and the current high prices.
International organizations have restored and built many buildings in Al-Mualla District and Aden, especially the ancient ones.
It is noteworthy that the Al-Mualla Girls Team is a volunteer team that works under the auspices of the local authority.
