Major General Ben Brik discloses his position on the recent events in Hadramout

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice -President of the Southern Transitional Council and the former governor of Hadramout, announced his position on the accelerating political developments taking place in Hadramout Governorate, stressing his full support for the invitation launched by the Presidential Command Council member, Major General Faraj Salmin Al -Bahsni, regarding the formation of a comprehensive Hadrami political bearer.
In a political statement issued by him, Major General Bin Brik stressed that Hadramout was and still represents a difficult number in the national equation, calling for the priority of the language of dialogue and the strengthening of the unity of the Hadrami class as a basic entrance to achieve the aspirations of the people of the province towards a fair and safe political future.
Bin Brik emphasized that any successful political project for Hadramout can only be achieved by the solidarity of all its political, social and tribal components, warning at the same time of the danger of division and exclusion, and the impact of this on the Hadrami negotiating position in any upcoming political arrangements.
He pointed out that the current stage requires the formation of a real political bearer who expresses the will of the sons of Hadramout and ensures their full partnership in drawing their future, away from the guardianship or marginalization of any party, calling for the investment of the current historical moment to formulate a national Hadrami project that is built on the basis of partnership and consensus.
At the end of his statement, Major General Ben Brik confirmed his full support for what was stated in the statement of Major General Al -Bahsni, considering that this step is a glimmer of hope towards uniting Hadrami efforts and strengthening the Hadramout site in any dialogues or negotiations related to the future of the Yemeni state and its political form.
Bin Brik called on all the sons of Hadramout, with their various affiliations, to positively engage in this project, and to prevail in the interest of Hadramout over any party or personal considerations, in a way that contributes to building a stable and safe future for all its children.
