7 hidden signs that your body suffers from iodine deficiency

A doctor revealed “strange” signs that may appear as an indication of a dangerous deficiency of iodine in the body.
Health experts indicate that iodine helps to produce thyroid hormones, which maintain cell health and metabolism (the speed in which chemical reactions occur in the body).
iodine sources include cow's milk, dairy products, eggs, marine fish and shellfish. Fortunately, most people are able to meet their daily needs by following a balanced and varied diet. However, this does not apply to everyone, as doctors explain: "If you follow a strict vegetable diet and do not eat any fish, eggs, cow milk or other dairy products, you may want to think about eating iodine -supported foods or eating iodine supplements."While excessive intake may be harmful as well, eating 0.5 mg or less daily is unlikely to cause any harm. If you suffer from iodine deficiency, you may notice some "strange" signs.
Dr. Eric Berg, a specialist in healthy diets, explains to his 13 million followers on YouTube, saying: “Unfortunately, iodine deficiency has become more common due to the deterioration of soil and chemicals in water supply.”
In his video, entitled "7 warning signs of a dangerous deficiency in nutrients", Dr. Berg identified several "strange" signs, it is advised not to ignore them at all:
1. Sensing the outer part of the eyebrows (loss of hair density in the outer trick of the eyebrow - the closest to the ears).
2. Hair loss
3. Hoarding Voice
4. Embolical tongue
5. Unjustified weight gain
6. High levels of estrogen
7. Decreased intelligence rate
If you have any of these symptoms, this does not necessarily mean that you suffer from iodine deficiency, but it is better to examine yourself to find out the root cause.
Dr. Berg explains that iodine deficiency in the body can appear through a set of clear symptoms, as a person may suffer from hair loss and a clear thinning in the outer part of the eyebrows, along with an annoying feeling of a mass in the throat and an unjustified increase in weight. Changes in the shape of the tongue can also be observed, such as the appearance of their sides.
On the other hand, the deficiency of iodine is related to hormonal disorders that appear through symptoms such as the accumulation of fat in the buttocks and hips area, frequent headaches, and a more abundant monthly and painful course than usual.
The doctor warns of the negative impact of iodine deficiency on mental functions, as it may lead to a weak memory and difficulties in focusing, given the close relationship between the thyroid gland and brain health.
It should be noted that this health problem is not limited to a specific age group, but can affect people in various stages of their lives, and it is considered one of the most common thyroid disorders in the world.
Dr. Berg concludes by emphasizing the great importance of iodine in maintaining hormonal balance, supporting reproductive health, and promoting mental and emotional performance of man.
