Taiz .. The return of life to one of the oldest ports in the Arabian Peninsula

The historic port of Al -Mokha, in Taiz Governorate, received today the first commercial ship after more than 14 years of stopping, at a moment that was described as historical, which restored hope for the return of navigation and commercial activity to one of the oldest ports on the Red Sea coast.
The commercial ship "Bay 10" entered the port berth loaded with the shipment of basic materials, thus being the first ship of this size to reach the port since the outbreak of the war, in an exceptional scene interspersed with feelings of pride and joy between the employees and workers of the port, who attended their full crews to receive the ship.
Al -Mina officials and workers expressed their great happiness with this upcoming return, considering the moment the ship entered a “good opening” for a new stage of commercial and economic recovery in the region, and real tenses of the start of the port restoration of its recovery and its vital role in supporting the national economy.
The Mukha Port is one of the oldest historical ports in Yemen and the region, and it has been suspended from receiving large ships for years due to the conditions of war and destruction that affected its infrastructure, before intense efforts began to rehabilitate it and prepare it to resume its navigational activity.
Citizens in Taiz Governorate and the surrounding areas hope that this step will contribute to facilitating the movement of trade, providing basic materials, and creating new job opportunities, amid calls to accelerate the process of development and expansion of the port and enhance its logistical equipment.
