5 people, including a Saudi suspected of belonging to al -Qaeda in American raids in eastern Yemen

Five people, four Yemenis and Saudi, who are believed to belong to al -Qaeda, were killed in separate raids carried out by drowned planes that are likely to be American, during the past few days in separate areas of eastern Yemen, in a remarkable escalation of US air operations against the organization.
On Sunday evening, an air strike carried out with a drowned plane, most likely an American, targeted a Yemeni citizen suspected of belonging to al -Qaeda, while driving a motorcycle on a sub -road in the Al -Abra area, north of Hadramout Governorate.
Witnesses reported that the raid resulted in his killing immediately, as the explosion led to the separation of his head from his body and the flying of his Ashlaf, in addition to fully destroying the motorcycle. The witnesses added that masked gunmen arrived at the site minutes after the incident, pulled the remains of the body and left quickly.
This attack comes as part of a series of air strikes carried out by American aircraft during the past two days, targeting elements suspected of belonging to al -Qaeda in the governorates of Marib, Shabwa and Hadramout.
On Saturday evening, an American driver launched a raid targeting a vehicle driven by a person suspected of belonging to the organization in the city of Ataq, the capital of Shabwa Governorate, which led to his death and caused partial destruction of the vehicle.
On Friday evening, a third element who is believed to belong to the same organization was killed in an American raid that targeted him while he was in a desert area east of Marib Governorate, and he was accompanied by three others who survived the attack, according to eyewitnesses.
In a separate incident, on Friday evening, eyewitnesses in Marib said that a person suspected of belonging to al -Qaeda holds Saudi nationality, Ahmed Al -Qahtani, who was killed by anonymous bullets inside the square of a mosque in the Hadba area, before the perpetrator escaped.
This military escalation comes in light of the continuous flight of American aircraft running in the sky of several Yemeni regions, in parallel with almost daily raids targeting sites and movements of the Houthi group in the northern and west governorates of the country, as part of continuous operations indicating the expansion of American goals in Yemen.
It is noteworthy that, despite the expansion of the American operations to target those describing them as members of the base, no comment was issued by the legitimate government or any party inside the country regarding the killings outside the framework of the law practiced by the American side.
