The American ambassador to Yemen, Stephen Vagin, called on what political and social components in Hadramout described to resolve their differences peacefully through dialogue and autism to confront the Houthi threat, in press statements that may cause widespread political criticism.

In a post on the X platform, the American ambassador commented on the current events in Hadramout, saying that the United States emphasizes the importance of maintaining security and stability in Hadramout, and calls on all components to resolve its differences peacefully through the dialogue.

Wagin stressed the need to unite to counter the Houthi threat.

Observers in these statements see a blatant American intervention that may cause widespread local political criticism, while the United States has been leading since mid -March a series of air strikes on the Houthi group to secure international navigation lines in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.  

The statements of the American ambassador following a virtual meeting held today with the governor of Hadramout Mabkhout Bin Madi, about developments in the major governorates of the country, which are witnessing security tension and deep differences between political and tribal components competing for influence in the oil -rich province.
