The General Electricity Corporation in the capital, Aden, announced that the President’s station has left the service at dawn today, and all the diesel generation stations are currently stopped, due to the severe shortage of fuel needed for operation.

The Foundation indicated in an urgent statement that the Mansoura station will not be able to continue working for more than three days unless the diesel material is provided urgently, warning of a complete extinguishing of the electric current in the city.

The Foundation renewed its urgent appeal to the Presidential Command Council, the presidency of the government, and all the concerned authorities to move immediately to provide the necessary fuel to ensure the continued service of electricity and alleviate the suffering of citizens, especially with the high rise in temperature and humidity that accompanies the beginning of the summer.

The General Electricity Corporation confirmed its commitment to inform the public on the latest developments, expressing its appreciation for the patience of the population in light of these difficult circumstances.
