Southern journalist Hossam Basahi bid farewell to Al-Ghad Al-Mashreq Channel, after it was closed and its crew was suddenly laid off.
Basahy posted poignant words on his Facebook page about his experience with the channel, saying: “My journey ends with the Bright Tomorrow group, the media institution that gave me the confidence to appear behind the microphone and in front of the screen for nearly 4 years.”
He added: “I was a recent graduate of university when the journey began, and I learned many skills and experiences in various departments in record time.”
Basahy praised his experience in the channel, saying: “I learned and benefited from the experiences of friends and colleagues of different nationalities until we became a family, each one of us complementing the other.”
Bashi expressed his gratitude to all the viewers who followed his work, saying: “Happy and grateful for all the various experiences that I went through and presented on radio, screen, and behind the scenes.”
Basahy concluded his post with a prayer for his colleagues on the channel, saying: “Grateful to all the viewers who followed or listened to the works, and finally, I am indebted and thankful to my wonderful colleagues who excel in their work, each according to their specialty, wishing them good luck, success and prosperity.”
