The Yemeni investigation committee reveals 258 violations against journalists and calls for their protection and the release of detainees immediately

The National Committee for the Investigation of Investigations of Human Rights Violations, in conjunction with the International Freedom Day (May 3), announced that it has finished investigating 258 cases of violations against journalists in Yemen.
The committee affirmed its commitment to documenting violations, noting that 6 hearings were held directly during the first quarter of 2025 with journalists who were subjected to severe violations such as arbitrary detention, absentee death sentences, confiscation of media institutions, torture, and demanded the victims to achieve justice and hold officials accountable, and reject any settlements that exceed their rights.
The committee renewed its invitation to the immediate release of all detained journalists and stop violations against them.
