Yesterday, the ship "MT AM MOON" unloaded a shipment of polluted diesel amounting to 5 thousand metric tons in Aden refineries, after it was rejected by Hadhramaut Governorate, due to its contamination and unsuitability for use.
According to local sources, the ship had arrived at the port of Mukalla, in Hadramaut Governorate, loaded with the aforementioned shipment, but the inspection report issued by the competent authorities in the governorate proved that it was contaminated and unfit for use, which led to a refusal to unload it.</p >
The sources added that the ship left the port of Mukalla and headed to the oil port in Buraiqa, in the capital, Aden, where it unloaded its contaminated cargo into Aden’s refineries.
Aden Refineries: Diesel quality meets specifications
The head of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Afrah Badwilan, sent an official memorandum to the leadership of the Aden Refineries Company, asking them not to accept the unloading of the diesel shipment in the oil port of Aden Refineries or any tanks belonging to the oil company, while returning it to the country of origin.</p >
However, the refineries company unloaded the ship's cargo in a major violation that revealed the enormous extent of corruption, and the refineries justified unloading the shipment, through sites close to them, saying that the company's laboratory tests proved that the shipment was safe and conformed to the specifications.
Saleh's son, the real owner of the shipment
Private sources revealed that the son of former Yemeni President Saddam Ali Abdullah Saleh is the real owner of the shipment, in the name of a fake company called (Al-Marisi Exchange) on Al-Sajn Street in Mansoura Aden, and he has alliances with senior leaders in the Southern Transitional Council, and the shipment moved from Dubai to Al-Mukalla, under the name of the Al-Ghalami Food Organization, was rejected by Hadhramaut after it was examined and found to be adulterated and did not meet the specifications.
Last July, the same company supplied large quantities of diesel to power stations in Aden, and its use resulted in the release of black exhaust from the engines that covered large areas of Aden. The matter revealed that there are senior leaders behind the introduction of quantities of adulterated diesel into Aden and its distribution to the power stations that Operates on diesel fuel.
