The Abyan Governorate Security Department issued a clarification statement of public opinion, regarding the incident that occurred in the city of Zanzibar, and led to the killing of the wanted man, Majid Ahmed Salem Salem Al -Karb, during the security services securing a peaceful women's demonstration in front of the old governorate building.

The administration clarified that the security personnel assigned to secure the event got to know the required while passing by them, and when they tried to arrest him, he initiated his weapons in their faces and was practiced in one of the buildings, forcing the forces to deal with him by launching one shot, after which he was transferred to Al -Razi Hospital, where he died as a result of his injury.

The statement emphasized that the aforementioned was wanted by a security arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution on June 27, 2023 AD, and the security services carried out several previous attempts to arrest him at his home in the Al -Maraqid area in the Zanzibar district without succeeding.

The statement also indicated that the Abyan Security Administration had issued an official obituary statement on August 1, 2021 AD, in which the martyr Qasim Al -Habadi, the facilities of the Security Director of Abyan, who was assassinated on the same date, and then vowed to pursue the perpetrators and bring them to justice or deal with them in accordance with the directives of the judiciary, in the event that the security necessity is required.

The Security Department of Abyan called on the media to investigate the accuracy of transferring information and avoiding falsifying facts or being drawn behind the systematic distortion campaigns targeting the security services in the province.
