A former Yemeni minister wonders about the reason for the continued electricity crisis in Aden, despite the succession of five governments

The former Yemeni Minister of Endowments and Guidance, Judge Dr. Ahmed Attia, asked about the reasons for the continuation of the electricity crisis in the temporary capital, Aden, despite the succession of several governments for its management since 2015.
Attia said, in a post on his Facebook page: “Where is the defect? Since 2015, five governments have been successful, and electricity has not been provided in a required and continuous manner, in a city that is one of the smallest capitals in the world.”
Attia expressed his hope that the current prime minister, Mr. Salem bin Brik, would be able to address this chronic file, describing it as a "great defect" that still haunts the lives of citizens and weighs their daily suffering.
The city of Aden has been witnessing for years an acute crisis in the electrical current, which is exacerbated by the summer, amid increasing popular demands to put radical and sustainable solutions to this vital file.
