The official news agency, Saba, said that President Rashad Al -Alimi begins today, Tuesday, an official visit to the Russian Federation at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The agency quoted an official source in the presidential office as saying that President Al -Alimi will hold talks with President Putin on the developments of the Yemeni file and the efforts of peace in the country in the light of regional and international developments.

The visit program will include meetings with a number of senior officials in the Russian government, and political, diplomatic and intellectual activities interested in Yemeni affairs.

The source stated that the presidential visit comes in light of the diplomatic moves and communications led by the Chairman of the Command Council, members of the Council and the government to enhance the unity of the international community regarding the Yemeni issue, and the efforts required to end the suffering of the Yemenis, and to achieve their aspirations to restore state institutions.
