Ambassador Khaled Mahfouz Bahah, Yemen's ambassador to Egypt, stressed the importance of the Yemeni embassy in Cairo as a home for all Yemenis, as it will open its doors to everyone without exception or bias.
Bahah said in a post on his account on the social networking site “Facebook”: “It was a busy week that brought us together with all segments of Yemeni society residing in Arabist Egypt. Here the homeland was painted in a wonderful picture under the umbrella of our country’s embassy in Cairo. People from all of Yemen gathered to share with us.” Common challenges, the desired homeland, and working to paint a bright image of our country abroad.”
He added: "We preserve the land of Kenana's position in support of our country and its legitimacy, as it is the gateway through which the Yemenis entered and it became a safe haven for them where they live in peace and security. Politicians, businessmen, students and patients are all present here after the coup plotters demolished the state institutions and emptied them of their best cadres."
He continued: “A large Yemeni community with diverse heritages and legacies is racing against time to be a bright model for our country abroad. Everyone here supports and comes together, and you will find among them only the features of Yemen in its finest form.”
Bahah indicated that the meetings he held with the Yemeni community in Egypt included an elite group of students, stressing the importance of education in the country’s renaissance and the sustainability of its development and improvement of its condition.
Bahah stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Yemen and Egypt, increasing the volume of trade exchange, and creating an investment environment that opens broad economic horizons.
At the end of his post, Bahah said: “A home for all Yemenis is our embassy here, and it will open its doors to everyone without exception or bias. We will work hard to develop consular, administrative, cultural, and diplomatic work, and we will be of help to everyone, just as everyone is helpful to us, and we seek excuses and “tolerance” from everyone. Citizens of the country in any negligence that may accompany the mission’s work in Egypt.”
