Al -Alimi: The Houthis threatened to bomb our airports if we do not promise the Yemeni plane to Sanaa

The President of the Presidential Command Council, Rashad Al -Alimi, said that the Houthi group threatened the legitimate government by bombing the airports of Aden, Hadramout, Shabwa and Al -Makh
Al -Alimi explained, in an interview with "Russia Today" channel, that the plane was one of the four Yemeni Airlines planes, which was later destroyed by Israel during raids at Sanaa airport.
He pointed out that the government allowed the plane to return from Amman to Sana'a to avoid the threat of the Houthis, but the plane was destroyed in an Israeli raid only two days after its arrival.
Yemeni Airlines announced on May 24, 2025 that the plane returned to Sana'a, with the aim of participating in the pilgrims ’promotion, in light of the airport maintenance work after being bombed.
Al -Alimi accused the Houthis of causing the destruction of all four Yemeni aircraft, stressing that the government has repeatedly tried to take out the planes from Sanaa and transport them to safe airports such as Aden, Saudi Arabia or Oman, but the Houthis refused and insisted on their detention despite the danger of bombing.
It is reported that the Israeli Ministry of Defense had announced last Wednesday targeting Houthi sites at Sanaa airport, and destroyed the fourth plane of Yemeni.
