The Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Muhammad Al-Daari, discussed today, Sunday, the latest developments in the situation in Yemen, with the Egyptian Ambassador to Yemen, Ahmed Farouk, and the Military Attaché, Brigadier General Samer Shaaban.
The Minister of Defense confirmed the continued attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia on army positions on more than one front, and its implementation of acts of maritime piracy and threatening international shipping routes.
The minister referred to the intransigence of the Houthi militia and its rejection of the peace efforts presented by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Nations, claiming its divine right to rule.
The Minister appreciated Egypt's firm position in supporting Yemen and its political leadership, represented by the Presidential Leadership Council at all levels.
The meeting was attended by our country's military attaché to Saudi Arabia, Brigadier General Yahya Al-Wael.
