The Executive Office of Hadramaut Governorate (Coast and Valley) unanimously approved, today, Sunday, the transfer of revenues from the governorate and the Al-Wadiah land port to the governorate’s account, after those revenues had been transferred to the Central Bank of Yemen and to the central government account.
This decision comes in a step that is seen as a reflection of the government’s lack of commitment to fulfilling its financial and service obligations to the governorate.
The Executive Office said in its meeting today that the local authority bore an amount of 96 billion riyals in exchange for fulfilling electricity fuel obligations, even though these amounts were the government’s duties.
He added that this decision comes within the framework of the local authority’s efforts to ensure the stability of revenues and enhance its role in improving the services provided to citizens.
