Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman met today with the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, in Riyadh.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed efforts to resolve the Yemeni crisis and ways to end the suffering of the Yemeni people.

Prince Khalid bin Salman said in a tweet on his official account on the social networking site “Twitter”: “We reviewed the Kingdom’s efforts to support peace and the road map between the Yemeni parties to reach a comprehensive political solution to end the Yemeni crisis under the supervision of the United Nations, which achieves comprehensive peace and guarantees peace.” Its sustainability.”

He added: “We stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to continue supporting the United Nations’ efforts to achieve peace in Yemen and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.”

Intense efforts have been underway in Riyadh for months to announce the results of dialogues and discussions regarding a solution to the Yemeni crisis, but the Houthi side, until now, wants to postpone the announcement due to what it described as its preoccupation with the Gaza war.
