It was carried out this Sunday morning in the courtyard of the central prison in the city of Taiz, in implementation of the legal retaliation ruling against the convicted convict, Arkan Fouad Hassan Muhammad Al-Hamdani, by firing squad for deliberately killing the victim, Marwan Ali Hamid Al-Haj, in Taiz Governorate.

The death sentence was executed in accordance with the rulings issued by the Western Taiz Court of First Instance, approved by the Court of Appeal, approved by the Supreme Court, and approved by the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, and based on the directive of His Excellency the Public Prosecutor, Judge Qaher Mustafa, to implement the ruling in Criminal Case No. C.C. 2018/70 AD West Taiz Prosecution.

The death sentence was executed by firing squad, after attempts to convince and encourage the blood relatives of the victims to forgive and pardon, and after the blood guardians refused, and after the reading of the ruling and a document of execution, the sentence was executed in the presence of the Chief Prosecutor of the Appeals Prosecution, Judge Muhammad Sultan Al-Faqih, and the West Taiz Prosecutor, Judge Abdul Rahman Qasim. A judge from the Western Taiz Court of First Instance, Judge Ahmed Abdo Qasim, the Director General of Taiz Governorate Police, Brigadier General Mansour Al-Akhali, a number of military and security leaders, blood relatives, and a number of citizens.

The head of the Taiz Appeals Prosecution, Judge Muhammad Sultan, stated that this ruling came after the fruit of the efforts made by His Excellency the Public Prosecutor, Judge Qaher Mustafa Ali, for his keenness and speeding up the procedures by ratifying before His Excellency the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, which fulfilled their right to legal retribution from the convicts in compliance with the Almighty’s words. : (And there is life for you in retaliation, O people of understanding, that you may become righteous.)

He also confirmed that there are a number of judicial rulings and their approval that are on their way back to implementation in the coming days in Taiz Governorate.

It is worth noting that the implementation of this sentence by retaliation is the first death sentence to be carried out in Taiz Governorate after a cessation of years due to the war.
