Maersk announces that one of its ships was targeted by a missile in the Red Sea

The Danish shipping company “AP Moller-Maersk” said (Thursday) that its container ship “Maersk Gibraltar” was targeted by a missile while “it was on its way from Salalah in the Sultanate of Oman to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, and the ship and its crew are fine.”
It was not immediately clear whether the missile hit the ship or not.
Maersk said in a statement: “At this time, we are still working to confirm the facts related to the accident.”
