The Houthi group announced today (Saturday) the launch of a military operation with a batch of drones on sensitive targets in Eilat, Israel.
The official spokesman for the Houthi forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said in a statement broadcast by the group’s official media, that “the armed forces’ air force carried out a military operation on sensitive targets in the Umm al-Rashrash area (Eilat) in southern occupied Palestine with a large batch of drones.” .
Spokesman Saree confirmed that the group’s forces will continue their military operations against Israel until its aggression against the Gaza Strip stops.
The Houthis announced last October, November and this December that they carried out several attacks with drones and ballistic and winged missiles on targets in Israel, against the backdrop of the war that has been ongoing since last October 7 in the Gaza Strip.
The Houthis also launched several attacks in the Red Sea, western Yemen, during the past days and weeks, on commercial ships that the group says are Israeli, and others that were sailing towards Israeli ports.
The Houthis control the capital, Sanaa, and most of the northern Yemeni governorates, in addition to their control of the coastal governorate of Hodeidah on the Red Sea, west of Yemen.
