The head of the so-called Houthi Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, met today, Wednesday, with the Omani delegation that arrived in Sanaa as part of the efforts made by the Omani side to achieve peace in Yemen.
The leader of the Houthi authority, Al-Mashat, expressed his group's interest in the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman to facilitate dialogue between the group and other Yemeni parties, noting that these efforts contributed to achieving significant progress in the peace process.
Al-Mashat announced that his group’s delegation, accompanied by the Omani delegation, will head to Riyadh to complete consultations with the Saudi side, which took place in Sanaa and Muscat, the last of which was last Ramadan.
Adding that the Houthis are determined to achieve peace in Yemen, and that they are ready to negotiate with all Yemeni parties, including the legitimate government, despite their continued backwardness and violation of previous covenants and charters.
