Germany calls on Iran to stop Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea

The German government called on the political leadership in Iran to stop launching further attacks on shipping ships in the Red Sea by the Yemeni Houthi group supported by Tehran, according to what was reported by the German News Agency.
German government spokesman, Steffen Heibstreit, said in Berlin, today (Wednesday), that this matter has “dangerous impacts on global trade, and has serious safety impacts on these ships.” This is unacceptable.”
The German Foreign and Interior Ministries confirmed that the study of the possible participation of the German army in the security alliance formed by the United States to protect navigation in this region has not yet been completed.
It is noteworthy that after the attacks of the Yemeni Houthi group on commercial ships in the Red Sea, the German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd and other major companies announced that they would avoid passage through the Suez Canal until further notice. The “Prosperity Guardian Operation,” which Washington announced, aims to protect commercial ships from being attacked by the Houthi “Ansar Allah” group in Yemen.
10 countries are participating in the initiative announced by US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. They are: the United Kingdom, Bahrain, Canada, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Seychelles, Spain, in addition to the United States.
