Al-Houthi activates Somali pirates... hijacking a cargo ship off the coast of Eil

UK Maritime Trade Operations said that heavily armed people seized a merchant ship near the town of Eyl off the coast of Somalia.
The British Navy confirmed that an investigation had been opened into the matter, without further details.
The European Union Naval Force announced, last week, that a commercial ship flying the Maltese flag had been hijacked in the nearby Arabian Sea and transported to the same area off the coast of Somalia.
There were 18 crew members on board the cargo tanker Rowen when it was hijacked near the Yemeni island of Socotra, about 240 kilometers off Somalia... confirming that one of the crew members had been evacuated to an Indian Navy ship to receive medical care.
Recently, there has been an escalation in attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea by the Houthi militia in Yemen, which led to the disruption of a major global trade route.
