The British Royal Navy announced this evening that three ships were subjected to Houthi attacks within 24 hours in the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea.
The British Navy said in a statement that a cargo ship carrying a Bangladeshi flag was attacked by gunfire 50 nautical miles west of the port of Hodeidah in Yemen, late on Saturday evening.
The statement added that the ship did not suffer any injuries or loss of life, and that it was able to continue its voyage.
This incident comes one hour after the British Navy announced that another ship had been attacked by an armed boat 45 nautical miles west of the port of Saleef in Yemen.
The British Navy stated that the ship did not suffer any injuries or loss of life, and that it was able to continue its voyage.
The British Navy announced earlier this month that several ships had been subjected to Houthi attacks with ballistic missiles and drones, amid American accusations that Iran was standing behind the Houthis, to strike global trade.
The ship suffered some minor damage, and there were no reports of injuries or loss of life.
The Houthi armed groups in Yemen have recently intensified their attacks on commercial ships in the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea.
