American expert: Washington has no desire to wage war against the Houthis

An American expert confirmed that “all evidence indicates that Washington does not currently wish to open a new front with one of Iran’s arms in the region.”
The American expert in international relations, Dr. Mac Sharqawi, said in statements to the “Sputnik” website: “I do not think that America wants to open a military front with (the Houthis) at this time, and that the maritime alliance that was announced in the past hours, and is composed of... From 10 countries, led by America, it represents one of the tools of pressure on the (Houthi militia).”
Sharqawi added, “America (does not) want to open or enter into a conflict with Iran directly and widen the gap of differences with Tehran, especially at this extremely dangerous time that the region is going through, and the threats to expand the circle of war between Gaza and Israel, and turn it into a war.” Regional or expanding the scope of this war.”
Sharqawi believes that “the coalition announced in the Red Sea is definitely to put pressure on (the Houthis) and to impose protection for international navigation after more than 7 major companies announced changing their maritime routes from this region, which certainly affects navigation and international trade in this region.” The sensitive parts of the world, through which approximately 12% of the world’s trade passes through Bab al-Mandab, then the Egyptian Suez Canal.”
Sharqawi ruled out that “there will be direct military operations targeting the (Houthi) group and its bases, and the bases from which ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones are launched at Israel, and at ships in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, after threats to target American and affiliated naval vessels.” Also for the coalition, so what Washington wants now is to put pressure on (the Houthis) and impose control over the Red Sea, liberate maritime navigation from any dangers, and secure commercial ships crossing this corridor.”
Dr. Mak Sharqawi concluded by saying, “The Bab al-Mandab region and the Gulf of Aden are important not only in that they are an economic corridor for commercial ships and international navigation, but it is also a corridor for ships, military battleships, aircraft carriers, and other military naval vessels, which also pass through the canal.” Suez to enter the Arabian Sea, as the region is certainly an important strategic area for civil and commercial operations, as well as for military operations.”
There are conflicting American statements and leaks about Washington's intention to strike the Houthis, affiliated with Iran, at a time when the United Nations announced that the Yemeni parties had reached an agreement to end the war.
