The Cooperation Council: We hope that the agreement of the parties concerned in Yemen will contribute to a comprehensive solution

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, welcomed the findings of a set of measures reached by the parties concerned in Yemen yesterday.
It includes implementing a ceasefire that includes all of Yemen, measures to improve living conditions in Yemen, and engaging in preparations to resume an inclusive political process under the auspices of the United Nations.
He expressed his hope that these measures would contribute to a comprehensive political solution that would bring prosperity, security and stability to the Yemeni people.
Al-Budaiwi stressed the need to continue making efforts to find a political solution to the crisis in Yemen, and to support the efforts of the Yemeni people towards formulating a map for the future to restore Yemen’s stability, development and prosperity for its people, in a way that achieves the aspirations of the Yemeni people.
He also appreciated the great and valuable efforts made by the United Nations, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman, which contributed to reaching these important and timely measures.
