An official emphasis on military readiness in Hodeidah and Taiz in preparation for any eventualities

A member of the Yemeni Presidential Command Council, Tariq Saleh, stressed, on Tuesday, the readiness of the military forces in the Taiz and Hodeidah axes, in preparation for any confrontation with the Houthis, who continue to escalate in the Red Sea. This came at a time when the leaders of the pro-Iranian Houthi group threatened to take revenge for the killing of ten militants. Of their members, on Sunday, in an American strike in the Red Sea during their attempt to pirate an international cargo ship.
Yemeni observers say that, through its escalation, the Houthi group seeks to attempt a land expansion southward to control the rest of the western coast of Hodeidah and Taiz, all the way to Bab al-Mandab, under the pretext of confronting cargo ships heading to and from Israel.
The official media reported that a member of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Tariq Saleh, said that he discussed with the Taiz and Hodeidah axes the military readiness and preparations of the military forces in the two axes, and opening new horizons for military coordination and the exchange of experiences between the military axes.
The member of the Yemeni Governing Council stressed the need to raise combat and military readiness and good readiness on all fronts of Taiz and Hodeidah, by preparing forces and military equipment, activating support plans, and remaining in a constant state of alert for any incoming options, stressing that all fronts in Taiz and Hodeidah represent a theater. A single war in which comrades in arms unite against a common enemy.
According to what was reported by the “Saba” agency, member of the Presidential Command Council, Tariq Saleh, praised the levels of coordination and military readiness, stressing the increase in the combat efficiency of individuals by developing effective plans for the new training year that ensures their better qualification.
Saleh appreciated the efforts made by the leadership of the military axes at the level of communication, coordination, mutual support, exchange of information, and strengthening joint tasks to fill the gaps in front of the Houthi enemy.
The United Nations is leading persistent efforts, based on Saudi-Omani mediation, in order to reach a road map for peace in Yemen, amid fears that the Houthi adventures will undermine these efforts, especially since the group is accused of shirking its obligations and submitting to Iranian orders.
In recent days, the group loyal to Tehran has intensified its violations of the calm, especially on the Taiz fronts (southwest), where government forces thwarted several attack attempts.
The forces responded to a Houthi attack with drones on several locations on the eastern front of the city of Taiz, and in the western countryside thwarted the group’s movements in several locations, in parallel with the group’s attacks on army positions in “Naqil al-Salu” on the southeastern front of Taiz.
