The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassem Al-Budaiwi, praised, on Sunday, the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to find a peaceful and comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis.
The Secretary-General stated in a statement that the round of talks with the Houthi delegation, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the city of Riyadh, is one of the important steps taken by the Kingdom towards achieving peace in Yemen.
He expressed his hope that the round of negotiations would be crowned with success and produce positive results that would help in developing a permanent and comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis so that Yemen and its people would enjoy stability, security, development and prosperity.
Last Thursday, Saudi Arabia invited a delegation from Sanaa to complete discussions and meetings aimed at reaching a sustainable political solution acceptable to all Yemeni parties, under its auspices with the Sultanate of Oman, in order to reach a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire in Yemen
