Today, Thursday, the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council issued three important security decisions, aiming to enhance security and stability in the country and combat terrorism.

The first decision, which carried No. (5) of 2024, included the establishment of the Central Apparatus for State Security, and the integration of the Central Apparatus for Political Security, the National Security Apparatus, and other intelligence entities affiliated with the Transitional Council, the Guards of the Republic, and the Giants Forces within the framework of this apparatus.

The decision stated that the Central Agency for State Security reports to the Chairman of the Presidential Command Council, and is responsible to him for implementing all the tasks and responsibilities stipulated in this decision.

As for the second resolution, which bore No. (6) of 2024, it stipulated the establishment of the Counter-Terrorism Service, headquartered in the capital, Aden, and linked to the Chairman of the Supreme Security Committee.

The decision regulated the tasks and powers of the agency and its organizational structure, and stipulated that the agency would have an independent budget and financial system, and be subject to the supervision of the Supreme Security Committee.

Finally, the third resolution, No. (7) of 2024, stipulated the appointment of Major General Shalal Ali Shayea Hadi as head of the Counter-Terrorism Service.

The issuance of these decisions came within the framework of the efforts made by the Presidential Command Council to enhance security and stability in the country and combat terrorism.
