Representative Al-Muharrami reviews the work progress of the Ministry of Works and the Road Maintenance Fund

Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Abdul Rahman Abu Zaraa Al-Muharami, reviewed the activity of the Ministry of Public Works and Roads, the Road and Bridge Maintenance Fund, and the number of projects that were implemented during the last period.
This came during his meeting, today, Friday, at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the Minister of Public Works, Engineer Salem Al-Huraizi, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Road and Bridge Maintenance Fund, Engineer Moeen Al-Mas.
At the beginning of the meeting, Representative Abu Zaraa praised the efforts of the Ministry of Public Works and its associated institutions during the last period, especially in reopening and rehabilitating roads and connecting the areas damaged by the devastation caused by Hurricane Tej in Al-Mahra, Socotra, and parts of Hadhramaut at the end of the meeting. Last October, he pointed out the importance of the road network as a lifeline and one of the most important foundations of development.
MP Al-Muharrami listened to a detailed report on the plans of the Ministry of Works and its associated institutions for the new year 2024 AD, and their plans and programs that will be worked on to rehabilitate and expand the main roads during the coming period.
In turn, the Minister of Works and the head of the Fund reviewed the difficulties and obstacles that hinder the progress of road maintenance and rehabilitation projects, most notably the scarcity of revenues, in conjunction with the almost total destruction of the road network.
The meeting touched on the progress of the weighing stations - locomotive scales - on the roads linking the capital, Aden, to the rest of the governorates, and the goals they have achieved since the launch of the campaign last July, and the difficulties facing their work.
MP Al-Muharrami urged the leadership of the Ministry of Works and the Road Maintenance Fund to make more efforts to rehabilitate and maintain the international and main road network, complete stalled projects in the governorates, raise the level of coordination with the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and donors to provide the necessary funding, and work with local authorities to determine Priorities in each governorate. He stressed his support and support for the leadership of the Ministry of Works and Roads and the Road Maintenance Fund, and his readiness to overcome any difficulties that obstruct the progress of their work, enabling them to accomplish their tasks with all efficiency and ability.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Al-Harizi and Engineer Al-Mas expressed their deep thanks and appreciation to Representative Abu Zaraa Al-Muharami, for his constant keenness in following up on service institutions, and his continued support for the conduct of the work of the Ministry and the Fund and for resolving the problems and difficulties that obstruct the progress of their work.
