The Interior Ministry reveals the death toll from two separate bombings in Abyan

The Yemeni Ministry of Interior said on Monday that two separate terrorist bombings targeted military and security force crews yesterday on the main line in the Al-Qalitha area in the Mudiya District of Abyan Governorate, killing two soldiers and wounding 12 others.
The Interior Ministry explained, in a statement, that the first explosion occurred when an explosive device planted in the main line exploded with a crew belonging to members of the Sixth Support and Support Brigade, which led to the death of two officers with the rank of first lieutenant and the wounding of 9 others with varying injuries.
She added that the second explosion occurred when an explosive device exploded in a kit belonging to the emergency and security support forces in Abyan Governorate in “Mudiyah,” causing three soldiers to be injured.
The Interior Ministry strongly condemned the two terrorist bombings, and confirmed that it would pursue the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
Abyan Governorate, and other areas, are witnessing repeated terrorist attacks targeting government forces and civilian sites.
