The United Nations calls for an urgent investigation into the assassination of an aid worker in Al Dhalea

The United Nations called on the Yemeni authorities to conduct an urgent investigation into the assassination of an employee of a humanitarian organization in Al Dhalea Governorate last Friday.
The United Nations Resident Coordinator and Acting Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, Peter Hawkins, expressed in a statement his shock at what He described it as a horrific attack on Dr. “Akeed Qaed,” an employee of the ADRA organization, which led to his killing by unknown gunmen after Friday prayers in front of his house in the city of Al-Dhalea.
He pointed out that the incident is an unacceptable tragedy, offering his condolences to his family and the employees of the organization in which he works. The victim has been around for three years.
Last Friday, unidentified gunmen assassinated Dr. Akeed Qayed Ali Houra Al-Maafari, a doctor and employee of the ADRA organization to provide humanitarian relief and social care in Al-Dhalea Governorate.
