The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed that the State of Kuwait welcomed the efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in coordination with the Sultanate of Oman to reach a comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis.
The Ministry praised these efforts, the most recent of which was an invitation to a Yemeni delegation, in reference to the (Houthi group), to complete talks aimed at a ceasefire in the Republic of Yemen to reach a comprehensive solution accepted by all Yemeni parties and under the auspices of the United Nations.
In this regard, the Ministry affirmed its continued support for all regional and international initiatives aimed at reaching a solution to the Yemeni crisis, in accordance with the Gulf Initiative and the relevant United Nations resolutions, with the aim of establishing security and stability in Yemen.
The Houthi delegation arrived in Riyadh, last Thursday, with an Omani delegation, as part of the efforts made to end the war and achieve peace in Yemen, after about 9 years of war.
Saudi Arabia announced at the same time that it had invited a delegation from Sanaa to visit it. This is to complete the meetings and discussions, based on the Saudi initiative announced in March 2021.
