Britain: The recent Houthi attack in the Red Sea is the “largest” since the start of the Gaza war

British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps announced on Wednesday that the attack that US and British forces responded to in the Red Sea on Tuesday evening was the “largest” carried out by the Houthis against the backdrop of the war in the Gaza Strip.
The minister explained, via the “X” platform, that the forces of the two countries “repelled the largest attack so far from the Iranian-backed Houthis in the Red Sea.”
The Pentagon had announced that “American and British forces shot down 18 explosive drones, two winged missiles, and a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis, towards international shipping routes in the southern Red Sea.”
The US Central Command announced, in a statement, that this is the 26th Houthi attack on commercial shipping lanes in the Red Sea since November 19.
