US Central Command: A ballistic missile was launched at shipping lanes in the Gulf of Aden

US Central Command announced, on Thursday, that the Houthi group fired an anti-ship ballistic missile, from the areas it controls in Yemen, on international shipping lanes in the Gulf of Aden.
According to the US Central Command, the Houthis launched the missile this morning, from the Hodeidah region in western Yemen.
A merchant ship reported that it observed the missile's impact on the water visually, but no injuries or damage were reported.
This is the twenty-seventh Houthi attack on international shipping since November 19, 2023.
The United States had previously warned that Houthi attacks on international shipping constitute a serious threat to the security of navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
The United States stressed the need for the international community to take action to stop these attacks and ensure the safety of international navigation.
