Urgent..The US Department of Defense: Our strikes against the Houthis have been completed and ended

The US Department of Defense announced today, Thursday, that the air strikes launched by the United States and Britain against the Houthi group in Yemen have been completed and ended.
The ministry said in a statement that the strikes targeted radar sites, drone and missile platforms, and coastal monitoring sites of the Houthis, in the areas surrounding Hodeidah, Hajjah, Dhamar, Saada, and Sanaa
The statement added that the strikes hit their targets accurately, and there were no civilian casualties.
These strikes come in the wake of the Houthis launching an anti-ship ballistic missile, yesterday, Tuesday, on international shipping lanes in the Gulf of Aden.
These are the twenty-seventh Houthi attacks on international shipping since November 19, 2023.
The United States had previously warned that Houthi attacks on international shipping constitute a serious threat to the security of navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
The United States stressed the need for the international community to take action to stop these attacks and ensure the safety of international navigation.
Houthi response
For its part, Houthi media said that the group responded with ballistic missiles to American and British battleships in the Red Sea.
According to these reports, the Houthis fired missiles at American and British battleships stationed in the Red Sea, but these missiles did not cause any damage.
These developments come in light of the continuing war in Yemen, which has entered its eighth year, without any signs of reaching a political solution.
