The Minister of Finance, Salem Saleh Bin Brik, directed to facilitate all procedures for disbursing the salaries of employees of the units of the state administrative apparatus at the central and local levels through the banks nominated by the Central Bank of Yemen in this regard.
This came while he chaired, today, in the temporary capital, Aden, a meeting that included undersecretaries and assistant undersecretaries in the ministry, to discuss the level of progress of the process of disbursing salaries through banks, as part of the corrective government measures required by the public interest of the state, and the mechanisms and requirements of the grant to support the general budget of the state. The meeting reviewed a detailed report on the progress of procedures for disbursing employee salaries, and the entities that completed the procedures for contracting with banks to disburse salaries, as the percentage of entities complying with the instructions in this regard reached 95 percent.
Minister Ben Brik also directed those concerned in the Ministry to follow up on the entities that have not yet completed the procedures for disbursing their employees’ salaries through banks, to complete the procedures and facilitate the process of disbursing salaries as quickly as possible, as well as to overcome all difficulties that may face the disbursement process to ensure that employees receive their salaries with ease. Without any obstacles.
The Minister of Finance also directed the formation of committees from the ministry and communication with the authorities concerned with disbursing salaries, and going out in the field to review the progress of the process of disbursing salaries through banks, listening to the beneficiaries and coordinating with the banks to urgently address any problems that employees may face when receiving salaries. An operations room to receive any complaints or reports in this regard, and to submit reports immediately.
Finance Minister Ben Brik reiterated the need to continue implementing the comprehensive economic, financial and monetary reform program, which includes disbursing salaries through banks, and working to expand the financial inclusion system to serve the employee and the public interest.
