The United Arab Emirates announced that it welcomes the efforts made by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to bring peace to Yemen.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained in a statement that the talks taking place in the capital, Riyadh, with a Houthi delegation aimed to reach a permanent ceasefire and find a political solution to the Yemeni crisis in a way that enhances peace and stability in the Yemeni region.

The statement stressed the importance of supporting all regional and international efforts made to find a sustainable political solution in Yemen, in a way that achieves the aspirations of its brotherly people for security, development and stability.

The UAE renewed its commitment to stand by the brotherly Yemeni people and support their legitimate ambitions for development and prosperity within the framework of its policy of supporting everything that serves the interests of the peoples of the region.

A prominent delegation from the Houthi militia is visiting the Saudi capital, Riyadh, accompanied by the Omani mediation delegation, as part of the efforts aimed at ending the Yemeni crisis and stopping the war that has been going on for years.
