The Iranian Foreign Ministry denied US accusations of sending more weapons to the Houthis; To expand their attacks in the Red Sea.

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, said that America’s announcement of the seizure of Iranian weapons heading to Yemen is a theatrical show, and it must prove this with documents.

He stressed that Washington cannot talk about expanding the scope of the war, while creating a military conflict with Yemen, as he put it.

He called for an end to the Israeli war on Gaza, stressing that the Houthis informed him that stopping the war on Gaza would end the tension in the Red Sea.

A few days ago, US Central Command said in a statement that it had seized advanced Iranian conventional weapons that were on their way to the Houthis.

It was stated in the statement that this is the first seizure of “advanced lethal conventional weapons provided by Iran” to the Houthis since the start of the Houthi attacks on commercial ships in November.
