The Houthi militia spokesman, Mohammed Abdul Salam, announced that the Houthi delegation had met with a Russian official in a meeting in the Russian capital, Moscow.
In a tweet on his Twitter account, the militia spokesman said: “We met this afternoon in Moscow with the Special Representative of the Russian President for Middle East and African Affairs and the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov.”
The meeting discussed the situation in the region, especially the events in Gaza, where the crimes committed there were condemned and rejected, and the need to intensify international efforts to pressure the United States and Israel to stop the escalation was stressed. The Yemeni delegation clarified its position in support of Gaza and rejected the American-British aggression that protects Israel.
The developments of the negotiations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were discussed, mediated by the Sultanate of Oman, regarding political developments in Yemen.
The Houthis are asking Russia for support in confronting America and Israel in the Red Sea, while sources indicate that Russia has asked the group to stop its attacks against international shipping lines.
