Trafigura, the company that owns the Marlin Luanda ship, announced today its success in controlling the fire that broke out on the ship yesterday, Friday, as a result of its targeting by the Iran-backed Houthis while it was passing through the Gulf of Aden.
The company confirmed that, thanks to the assistance of international warships, the speed of procedures and efficiency, all crew members were able to survive without casualties. She added that the fire was successfully controlled thanks to the efforts of the specialized teams on the ship and the auxiliary battleships.
This announcement comes hours after the incident in which the Marlin Luanda ship was subjected to an organized attack by the Houthis while passing through the Gulf of Aden.
The militias continue to threaten maritime navigation in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea, which required an international coalition consisting of several countries to repel their attacks.
