The Secretary-General of the Southern Transitional Council, Fadl Al-Jaadi, sparked controversy regarding his talk about the demands for improving services in Aden, in a post on the social networking site “Facebook.”
Al-Jaadi said that there are those who care more about the rise in the currency price than targeting the South with various conspiracies, and those who care about the delay in disbursing salaries more than resolving the southern issue and restoring the state, and those who care more about the high cost of fish than the forces of terrorism attacking the South.
Al-Jaadi added that this contradiction in interests “indicates that there are those who do not understand the truth of what is happening in the south, or that they are trying to divert attention from the crucial issues facing the south.”
Social media activists responded with different opinions to Al-Jaadi’s speech, while some said that the council does not care about basic citizen services.
Al-Jaadi's comment reflects the view of the Southern Transitional Council regarding demands to improve services in Aden, and also indicates that the Transitional Council believes that there are those who are trying to distract attention from the crucial issues facing the south.
