The head of the Sanaa Center for Studies, Majed Al-Madhaji, said today that the current event in Yemen establishes a new phase of geopolitical tension, in which it is not possible to rely on the basic political headlines that existed before October 7.
Al-Madhaji added that there is an unprecedented militarization of the Red Sea, and the rules of engagement have moved from local parties to international parties.
He pointed out that this situation will not end with the end of the conditions imposed by the war and siege of Gaza, and that the peace option will be removed from the discussion table.
He continued that there is a new geopolitical reality, a new network of interests, and new military and security complexities, which cast their shadows on the political and security future of Yemen and the region.
