The Minister of State and Governor of the capital, Aden, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, expressed his inability to deal with the crises afflicting the capital, Aden, and sent a distress message to the Yemeni government.
Lamlas said in a tweet on his official Twitter account, followed by Scoop24: “Your Excellency the Prime Minister and His Excellency the Ministers, greetings from the capital, Aden. We need you to relieve the suffering or to live it together.”
Aden is witnessing a stifling crisis represented by the decline in the value of the local currency, power outages for up to 20 hours a day, and the deterioration of the exchange rate, as the price of the dollar reached 1,600 Yemeni riyals. This appeal comes in light of the worsening economic conditions, as Lamlas expresses his readiness to cooperate with the government to overcome these challenges and improve the situation in the city.
