Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harithi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, received today Hans Grundberg, Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for Yemen.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the efforts made to support the Yemeni parties to reach a political solution that achieves security and stability for brotherly Yemen and the countries of the region.

The meeting also touched on the repercussions of the Israeli war against the residents of Gaza on the Yemeni issue and navigation in the Red Sea.

Al-Harithi stressed the Sultanate of Oman’s position in support of peace in Yemen, and stressed the importance of reaching a comprehensive political solution that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people.

For his part, Grundberg expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman in supporting peace efforts in Yemen.
