Ambassador Abda Sharif, the British ambassador to Yemen, denounced the attack by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia on the oil tanker Marilyn Luanda, which caused the fire to burn for more than 15 hours.
She confirmed in a statement that it was another irresponsible attack, which occurred last week by the terrorist Houthis, explaining that this time, fortunately, the crew was not harmed.
He added, "The joint courageous efforts between France, India, and the United States were able to prevent the leak of 500,000 barrels of oil with difficulty," noting that the leak almost destroyed marine life.
It warned that the Houthi terrorist attacks on international shipping endanger innocent lives and regional stability and may cause environmental disasters.
