This evening, American and British aircraft launched intensive raids targeting sites belonging to the Houthi militia in the capital, Sanaa, and several other governorates.

The strikes focused on weapons depots in Jabal Attan, in addition to a number of Houthi sites in Sanaa, Saada, Taiz, and Hodeidah.

The US Central Command announced, in a statement, that its aircraft destroyed 6 anti-ship cruise missiles that were prepared to be launched on the international shipping line in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

The statement indicated that these raids come in response to Houthi attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea, and their threat to international navigation.

The statement stressed that the United States and Britain will continue to work together to prevent the Houthis from threatening security and stability in the region.
