The General Corporation for Telecommunications in the capital, Aden, announced today that the main fiber cable in Qataba, Al Dhalea Governorate, had been subjected to an act of sabotage.

The organization explained in a statement that this act of sabotage led to weak Internet service in some governorates,

The Corporation confirmed that the technical teams are working to repair the cable in order for the service to return to its normal state as quickly as possible, calling on citizens to be patient and understanding.

The corporation called on the security services to take the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such acts of sabotage.
