The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council issued a presidential decree appointing Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak as Prime Minister, succeeding Maeen Abdul Malik, whom the Council appointed as his advisor.
State television said that the presidential decision stipulated that members of the government would continue to perform their duties in accordance with the decisions appointing them, meaning that none of them would be changed.
